Are you interested in joining the travel industry?

No industry experience. A dozen questions. Not entirely sure where to begin, or whether starting your own travel business is even realistic. It is, and there’s a proven path for getting there without figuring it all out alone.

How does someone with no travel background get started?

At Your Travel Centre, we can help you enter this exciting industry, even if you have no previous travel industry experience.

Many of our most successful agents didn’t come from a travel agency background. They came from administration, retail, hospitality, raising a young family, or careers completely unrelated to travel that they simply wanted to move on from. What they shared was a passion for travel, a desire for something more, and a willingness to learn.

The reality is that learning about destinations, suppliers, and travel products is the easy part. That knowledge comes with time, training, and experience. What often stops people getting started is everything behind the scenes: access to suppliers, booking systems, accreditation requirements, marketing, technology, client accounting, and understanding how commissions are paid.

Trying to build all of that infrastructure from scratch can be overwhelming. That’s where we come in.
